The Rheumatology service has a long history of care to adult patients. Our clinic specializes in treating arthritis conditions of the joints, muscles, skeletal spine, connective tissue and immune glands.
Arthritis can arise from joint wear or degenerative conditions (osteoarthritis), causing pain and stiffness. Rheumatoid arthritis is a condition which occurs when joints are attacked by the body’s own defenses, resulting in swelling, pain and fever.

Treatment of these conditions may require monitoring of special medications referred to as disease modifying drugs (DMARDs), biologics and biosimilars, Injection of joints, soft tissue, bursa, tendons, muscles, and low back problems with special drugs to help manage these conditions in a timely fashion.
Special laboratory tests from blood and other body specimens such as needle aspiration of joint fluid, synovial and muscle biopsies, and other soft tissues may be needed for a more accurate and timely diagnoses.
