Diabetes Prevention Program

Prediabetes occurs when your blood sugar is higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. More than 1 of every 3 American adults has prediabetes, and 90% of people with prediabetes don’t know they have it.

Your risk for prediabetes is higher if:

  • You are overweight
  • You are 45 years of age or older
  • Your parent or sibling has type 2 diabetes
  • You had diabetes while pregnant or gave birth to a baby that weighed more than 9 pounds
  • You are physically active fewer than 3 times a week

Take the test to see if you are at risk of prediabetes
