Financial information for consumers
After we receive your prescription we will process it through our pharmacy software and provide you with your copay. The amount due for prescription is determined by your insurance company. Leo Jenkins Pharmacy will work closely with social work to ensure that every patient receives their necessary medication. You will be responsible for the cost of your medication prior to its release from the pharmacy.

Information and tips to assist in interactions with the organization
Have your prescription numbers available when you call with questions about your medications. Don’t wait until the last minute. Write your questions down. Keep a list of your medications.
Information about product selection, including suggestions of methods to obtain drugs not available at the pharmacy where the product was ordered
We strive to provide exceptional care to our patients, this includes having a large selection of medications available. Sometimes we may have to order a medication. Most medications we have to order are available the next business day. If for some reason we are unable to obtain the medication we will work with your provider to find a pharmacy which has this medication available.
Instructions on how to place an order properly
When you have 5 days of medication remaining call the pharmacy to request a refill. This will ensure that the pharmacy has time to prepare your prescription and have it ready for pick up or sent out for delivery. Plan ahead for vacation or weekends.
Instructions on how to access drugs if emergency, disaster, or delay occurs
Plan ahead, try to keep at least a 5 day supply of medications on hand Keep a list of all medications you are taking and the directions for taking them Pay attention to forecasts and warnings, If you are told to evacuate remember to take your medications and necessary equipment with you. It is Leo Jenkins Pharmacy’s goal to maintain normal operating hours. In the event it is unsafe to operate normally we will do our best to resume operations as soon as possible.

If you need to contact a pharmacist they are available by phone at 252-744-4602 or in person at the pharmacy during business hours 8-4:30. After this time please contact our on call representative at 252-744-1640.

Information about order delay
Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances an order may be delayed. Before a medication is mailed we will contact you to confirm an address you will be available the following day to receive the delivery. If you have not received your medication the day delivery was scheduled please don’t hesitate to contact the pharmacy. This will enable us to track down your medication and ensure that your therapy is not interrupted.
Information about drug substitutions
In the event that a medication is unavailable or cost prohibitive your pharmacist will work with your provider in order to determine a suitable therapeutic substitution.
Prescription Transfer
In the event a transfer is necessary have the intended receiving pharmacy contact the pharmacy that currently holds the prescription.
How to address an adverse drug reactions
If it is an immediate emergency call 911, otherwise contact your physician or call LJCC pharmacy with questions for your pharmacist.
Concerns and/or suspected errors
Please contact the pharmacy if you have any concerns or suspect an error with your prescription.
Instructions on how to handle drug recalls
In the event of a recalled, discontinued, expired, damaged, contaminated, unacceptable and counterfeit drug product, staff pharmacists, the patient and patient’s physician shall be notified immediately (pharmacist by email and group meeting, physicians and patients by email and telephone notification).
