Pediatric Healthy Weight Research & Treatment Center – How to Make Referrals

The Pediatric Healthy Weight clinic primarily serves children & adolescents in eastern North Carolina but will accept other patients depending on the situation upon request.

Interested Families

If your child is overweight, and you would like to have him or her assessed, please talk with your family doctor or pediatrician about your concerns. Ask your physician to make a referral to the ECU Pediatric Healthy Weight clinic (see below).

Provider Referrals

Referring providers internal to ECUP and ECU Health may have their coordinators place referrals in ECU PEDS COMPREHENSIVE CARE department in Epic.

Referring providers external to ECUP and ECU Health should fill out the ECU Health Pediatric Specialty Referral Form (PDF) and fax form, demographics, notes, referral, and relevant information to 252-847-3337.
